September Updates

Hi NYS FBLA! Fall is here, and I hope everyone has settled into the new school year. Chapters across the state are holding their first meetings and welcoming new members, and it has been so exciting to see how much energy everyone is bringing to FBLA this fall.

As for me, senior year is off to a busy but rewarding start. This month I have been preparing workshops and resources for the Fall District Meeting, which I am so excited to see everyone at! I have also been sharing new posts on Instagram to keep District 8 members informed and connected.

If you haven’t already, I strongly encourage your chapter to register for the Fall District Meeting. It is a great chance to meet members from other schools, build new skills through workshops, and get a head start on the year. It is also the perfect time to start planning your POW challenge submissions!

Hi NYS FBLA! My name is Meenakshi Chakravadhanula, and I am honored to be serving as your District 8 State Vice President for the 2026-2027 school year. I am a rising senior at Vestal Senior High School and this will be my fourth year in FBLA, so I could not be more thrilled to give back to an organization that has given me so much.

I kicked off my summer at the National Leadership Conference, where I competed and met members from all over the country, and then attended State Officer Training, a long but rewarding week of planning with the rest of the State Officer team. Together we started shaping the projects that will define our year, and I am leaving both experiences confident in what our team can accomplish.

For the rest of the summer, my focus is on strengthening District 8, from improving communication between our chapters and the state level to prioritizing timely outreach and raising awareness of everything FBLA has to offer. I am especially excited to be helping host this year’s Fall and Spring District Meetings here at Vestal.
