Aditya Hariharan Updates
Hello NYS FBLA!
It’s Aditya Hariharan, your State Executive Vice President, back with an update as we
head into the school year!
I hope everyone enjoyed their summer! For me, this has been one of the best summers
yet, from placing at NLC and attending to SOT; hanging out with my friends at the pool, in the
city, and at the library; and enjoying an incredible vacation in Ecuador.
When it comes to FBLA, August has been a busy month for me. If you follow our
Instagram account, @newyorkfbla, you’ll see the many posts I’ve been cranking out this month,
from officer introductions, to National Council PSAs, to birthday wishes. I’ve also worked with
the Executive Committee to develop even more social media content that I’m excited to share
with you all in September!
On a different note, I’ve been working to achieve one of my biggest goals when I ran for
office–making FBLA more accessible–by creating resources for our Sponsorship Committee.
This is laying the groundwork for us to have a successful year when it comes to finding sponsors
to support all that we have to offer, and making FBLA less costly for our members!
Finally, I’ve been collaborating with our phenomenal State Vice President team to ensure
that everyone enjoys a fabulous FDM & SDM. District newsletters will be out shortly (alongside
The Express, which you should definitely read), as well as registration packets for FDM & SDM.
As we head into the new school year, I also want to remind our members to stay on the lookout
for opportunities to further your FBLA involvement, like becoming a district officer and
participating in our Program of Work!

Hello NYS FBLA!
My name is Aditya Hariharan, and it’s my honor to be serving as your Executive Vice President! I hope you’re having a great summer so far! For me, July has been busy but rewarding.
This past month, I attended the National Leadership Conference and participated in State Officer Training. At SOT, I worked with our State President to create the Executive Committee’s Program of Work, featuring three unique challenges that we encourage every member to participate in. These challenges are designed to directly enhance your FBLA experience; I especially look forward to seeing everyone on our Level Up Live Connection Calls: make sure you email us to get the link!
At SOT, we also engaged in dialogues on how the State Officer Team can best support NYS FBLA members this year, including selecting a phenomenal state charity, discussing fundraising methods, and working to create more competitive event resources. As your EVP, I have the privilege of working with the incredible State Vice President team this year, and they’ve been hard at work to plan amazing District Meetings! Throughout the year, I’m looking forward to working with the SVPs to further our district spirit, through social media and special events. This year, my main goals include making FBLA more accessible to members by aiding new chapters and fundraising through sponsorships, providing our members with toolkits and resources to support them, and connecting our districts. I’m so excited to connect with everyone this year and I hope you have a great rest of your summer!
