Aaminah Khondker
Hello New York State FBLA!
My name is Aaminah Khondker, and I am honored to serve as your District 1N State Vice
President. I am a rising senior at Floral Park Memorial High School, and FBLA has been one of
the most meaningful parts of my high school journey.
FBLA has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My dad competed at the State
Leadership Conference in Rochester, New York, when he was in high school, and hearing his
stories inspired me to follow in his footsteps. You could say my passion for FBLA runs in the
family.
I joined FBLA as a seventh grader and founded my school's middle-level FBLA chapter. Since
then, I have competed at the district, state, and national levels, served as my chapter's Co-
President, and developed leadership skills that have shaped both my confidence and my future.
One of the most rewarding parts of my journey has been watching our members grow and
develop the same passion for FBLA that first inspired me.
FBLA has opened countless doors for me by strengthening my leadership, communication, and
teamwork skills, while introducing me to lifelong friends, mentors, and opportunities. These
experiences inspired me to run for state office because I want every member across District 1N
to feel welcomed, supported, and encouraged to make the most of everything FBLA has to offer.
As District 1N State Vice President, I hope to strengthen connections between our chapters,
increase member engagement, and encourage every student to make the most of their FBLA
experience, whether through conferences, competitions, networking, or leadership opportunities.
Outside of FBLA, I serve as President of PEARLS Women's Leadership, participate in student
government, work as a swim instructor and Head Swim Coach, and play competitive club
volleyball for a Long Island travel team. I have also completed multiple internships in the
financial industry, gaining valuable insight into careers in business and finance, and dedicated
many hours to community service through school and local organizations. These experiences
have strengthened my leadership, teamwork, and passion for business and finance, and I hope to
pursue a career in the financial industry.
When I'm not busy with school, FBLA, coaching, or volleyball, I enjoy spending time with
family and friends, traveling, reading books, and listening to music. I also love trying new things,
taking on new challenges, and growing as both a leader and a person.
I am excited for the year ahead and look forward to working alongside our incredible state
officer team, advisors, and members. I can't wait to meet many of you and help make this an
unforgettable year for New York State FBLA!
