There are so many opportunities that come from being in the NYS FBLA Honor society. I hope you’ll take advantage of what it can offer you.

November Update
Hello all of NYS FBLA!  As we head into November, I hope everyone enjoyed their fall district meeting. I know I am very pleased with how my FDM went. I’d like to commend my SVP Kiley Pudney for her hard work. She did a phenomenal job organizing and running district 9’s FDM with engaging workshops and presentations.

I’m positive that my fellow state officers did amazing at their district meetings. I couldn’t be more proud of my State Officer team as we keep moving forward.

Lastly, a quick reminder to those aspiring to be State Officers that the deadline to schedule an interview to be a State Officer is the 26th of November. With that I wish you all luck with your future endeavors.

October Update
Hi NYS FBLA! I hope everyone’s excited for spooky season I know I am. With that I hope everyone’s had a good past month. The month of September has been such an eventful month for me. Between tennis and working on new recruitment in my local chapter, planning fundraisers and much more I’ve been quite busy.

I have also been getting ready for my districts FDM preparing a workshop and collaborating with my svp Kiley which takes place on October 24. I’m so excited to show you all what we have in store. So please keep an eye on both the state and your districts Instagram as well as the state officers.

Always remember to document everything that happens in your chapter and district events for future reference and you can always reach me at historian@nysfbla.org.

September Update
Hello NYS FBLA, I hope your summer was relaxing and filled with good memories. With school right around the corner, I hope everyone’s excited to reunite with their FBLA chapters as we enter the new year. This year I and the state officer team have so much in store for everyone this upcoming year. We are all so excited to announce the programs of work this year. We are pushing you to your creative limits.

My committee, the career development committee, created three programs of work designed to get you ready for your future careers. Build a Business is our chapter challenge that encourages members to collaborate and embrace entrepreneurial thinking. Career Link requires individuals to create a mock business profile. Lastly, my personal favorite, Dear Future Me has individuals write a 250-word letter to themselves regarding their future careers. If you have any questions, please refer to the program of work section of the website.

I implore you all to keep an eye on both the states and individual officer’s Instagram posts. Not only to keep updated on things such as when your district fall district meeting is. But they also offer good advice and information and will continue to do so throughout the year. And with that I wish everyone luck on their endeavor’s FBLA related or not as we start the school year.

August Update
Hello NYS FBLA, I am so happy to have taken the first steps to becoming the Historian you all deserve. State Officer Training was such a rewarding experience you can see a video recap made by yours truly on the home page of the website!  I was so nervous to present the SOT recap to my fellow State Officer and the Board of Trustees I was beyond shocked that they actually liked it.

I learned countless things and made unforgettable memories during my week at State Officer Training. I’ll never forget running around with a camera trying to capture everything we did as a team. From meetings to bonfires, we did it all in just a short week. I formed connections that will last a lifetime. One of the most important things we did as a team was forming our Program of work committees and as a team, we made 12 new and exciting challenges for this upcoming year!

I want to encourage and remind you all to send me pictures of your chapter over the school year. My main goal is to make sure that everyone feels represented whether your chapter is big or small. I’ve said it once I’ll say it a million more times, I want to be the Historian the state wants and deserves to have so I’m open to all feedback and concerns please reach out to me at historian@nysfbla.org.
