March Update
Hi District 9!
The Spring District Meeting was a huge success! I want to take this opportunity to not only congratulate the event winners, but also everyone who competed. Your hard work deserves to be recognized!
We are about a month and a half away from the State Leadership Conference! I can’t wait to see everyone’s hard work on their competitive events pay off. I am also excited to share all the great things the State officer Team has been working on!
If you have any questions, please reach out to me at svp9@nysfbla.org.
February Update
Hello District, 9!
We are almost to the Spring District Meeting! Remember to study for your test and events!
SDM will be starting at 9:00 AM at Lemoyne College in Syracuse. We will also be holding a coin challenge to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Last month, the State Officer Team met in Rochester at our January Joint Meeting. At which we planned the State Leadership conference. The State Leadership Conference is a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in all that FBLA has to offer. State Leadership holds the next level of competition after SDM, along with many great workshops and events. At the January Joint Meeting, the State Officer Team also had the opportunity to visit the Rochester Ronald McDonald House. Touring the location was a wonderful opportunity. I encourage the chapters in the district to support their local Ronald McDonald House Charities Location.
January Update
Happy New Year’s, District 9!
Spring District Meeting is about a month away! All testing resources can be found on the state website, www.nysfbla.org.
Just a reminder of a few of our upcoming Spring District Meeting deadlines. On January 5, each chapter must submit a list of tests and their test takers to Mr. Cupelo. On January 29, all production tests are to be submitted to Mr. Cupelo.
I look forward to seeing all chapters soon. Be sure to keep an eye out for the winter edition of the District Newsletter. As always, contact me with anything you may need at svp9@nysfbla.org.

October Update
Happy fall, everyone! It is almost time for our Fall District Meeting! Due to unforeseen circumstances, FDM will not be held at Bryant and Straton this year. I am, however, working to secure a different location. I will be in contact with all advisors with any information I receive. So, advisers, be sure to check your emails.
On a better note, I hope everyone is getting excited for FDM! Our State Historian, Kelsey Draughn, and I have many workshops planned that will prepare everyone for an amazing membership year. Do not forget to bring your spare change to FDM to compete in the Coin Challenge!

August Update
Welcome back, New York State FBLA! My name is Kiley Pudney, and I am ecstatic to be your 2025-2026 State Vice President for District 9! I look forward to working with the State Officer team, Board of Trustees, and most importantly, our members, to make FBLA exceptional.
This July, I spent a week in beautiful Greenwich, New York, at State Officer Training. During this time, I learned invaluable skills that I look forward to using this year. The State Officer team and I worked hard to prepare for the upcoming year. The first item on our agenda was to decide on a State Charity. I am proud to say that NYS FBLA has chosen Ronald McDonald House Charities for the 2025-2026 State Charity. The most important item on our agenda was to create a Program of Work for the year. The Membership Services, Community Outreach and Engagement, Career Development, and Executive Committees have twelve Programs of Work that we are eager to share.
As we begin to close out summer and enter the new school year, chapters will have the perfect opportunity to increase their membership. I encourage current members to reach out to their peers and share what FBLA can offer. Be sure to follow the district Instagram @district9.nysfbla and my FBLA account @kileyfbla, so you will not miss any important updates. I will be in touch with chapter advisers to give further information on the Fall District Meeting. Please feel free to contact me at svp9@nysfbla.org, and I will help with any questions, comments, or concerns you may have.
